Crossing Koman Lake - Valbona - Theth

If you're into hiking, you can’t miss the incredible hike from Theth to Valbona! It’s a beautiful and challenging route which starts in the mountain village of Theth and heads over a mountain pass and into Valbona National Park.

Day 1

We start our journey at 5am from Tirana with lots of energy. As we drive to koman we stop for a short coffe break. After we arrive in Koman we will be able to enjoy the Koman Lake view and get ready to take the Ferry that will take us to Fierze, we will be for 3 hours enjoying the beautiful lake and the nature around us. After we arrive in Fierze we will drive to Bajram Curri where we will stop for lunch break. The nest stop will be in Shoshan Canyon and after this stop finally we arrive in Valbona where we accomodate in a hotel or in Gesthoses. We have some free time to rest and after we go and visit Valbona’s Old mill and Lake “Xhema”, two beautiful destination in Valbona that you must see. Then we return to the Guesthouse when we enjoy the dinner with traditional handmade dishes.

Day 2

Walking up in such a beautiful nature will give us lots of energy to start the day. After breakfest we prepare for the Pass from Valbona to Theth, we will walk for 5-7 hours through the wonderful nature. Since we will be walking for some hours we will bring the lunch with us, the lunch will be carried from the horses that will also transport our backpacks and other carries to make our walk easier. The journey is 1000 m altitude so we have to be prepaired. After the walk we arrive in Theth where we enjoy the nature and the fresh air and accomodate in the Guesthouse. After accomodation we have time to relax and enjoy the dinner.

Day 3

We wake up breathing the fresh air and enjoy the breakfest in the Guesthouse. We are ready now to go and visit Nderlysa Baths and the Blue Eye, we will walk for 1 hour (Level:simple). After we enjoy the beauty of the Blue Eye we will have the possibility to make a swim in the blue waters sorrounded by green hills and mountains. After this visit we go back to have lunch in Theth, rest for a while and prepare to visit the Church and also the Detention Tower, getting us to know so some of the Albanian history and traditions. It’s now the time to enjoy another dinner.

Day 4

Waking up in Theth it’s very easy because the day here begins early, after breakfest we walk to see the last destination The Waterfall. After this enjoyable visit we start our drive back to Tirana, during the road we will stopto visit the city of Shkodra where we will also enjoy the lunch. After lunch we drive towards Tirana with the best impressions.
